100% spot on. I just posted a meme (something I don't do as the context is always missing), and holy shit batman did some folks come out and scream.

It was one where a man in the middle was trying to bridge the divide and a person on the left side of the road shoved the middle man to the right, then asked "why are you siding with them after being thanked for picking them off the ground/catching them."

No comments were made, and off to the races people went with their causes and how the right is horrible and how dare I.

I kept thinking, gee ... making the meme something from satire and dark comedy a reality with every character you type.

I even had one guy spout out how he "was" the center and how dare I stated this given I live in Texas with voting laws (and another person brought up SB8 and Transgender issues). Guess what I am against all the negativity and restrictions of all three and voted Democrat since 2018 and switched parties, but their outburst ...

I wanted to say ... if you were the center you would get this, but you don't. But I decided to take the high road, and let them rant and vent and show themselves.

Folks like this show how they believe in the land of "ands" and want a better tomorrow, but embrace a land of "ors". Point it out to them ... they are offended so deeply, that they don't realize that being triggered means they are what they say they aren't.

Censorship and the things you talk to eloquently are all about power and forced consent. Now, I will try not to blame and shame them as they may have trauma and real life or death experience to make them be like this. But the reality is they shouldn't be out speaking and trying to get people to their side/echo chamber/point/position if they can't manage their emotions and regulate their words.

Amazing writing!
