Blake Shelton was born and lives in the area where I live now. Remember I have kept an apartments in the Bay Area and lived in a rural area (Indiana and then Texas).

His core intent comes from the simplicity of the area where he lives.

Is it right? No it is simpilstic and altrustic and based (I know you will choke on this) compassionate conservativism that Eisenhower was based off of.

I agree with you that it falls into the women that get drunk on romance novels (as documented by another author on this platform).

But let's also be real ... it sells and it was good enough it attracted Gwen Stefani. A girl that loves LA now lives in a superb mansion off of Lake Texoma which I believe is in Native American territory.

I agree with you one should never say love should come through the rose colored glasses of being poor or rich. That is horribly wrong, and you hit the nail on the head that a person that does so lacks self esteem.

Limited to no self esteem means low confidence which means codependency and other toxic traits that can rear it's head.

But on the flip side it is a view from some folks living in a poorer Native American / Oklahoma land looking over the Red River into Rich Texas with it's welath and pride and saying .... what it says.

But not even I knew about this area and how it handles itself (the core values are what created Social Security and Medicare fyi ) until I lived here.

The first year I was here, when I went to a bar to pick up a food order, folks would buy me one round as a new Texan and new person to Texoma. I also had my meals several times comp'd by the car forward while driving into a Whattaburger.

It was unbelievable to observe and have happen, but it did.

It is fairy tale like? Yes. Fairy Tales can be good occiasionally, but for quite a few people they are toxic. YMMV
