Both men and women deserve the same praise, my comment was directed at and for him to say you are not less of a man.

It is part of being an adult, but this response falls into the line "suck it up".

Do we desire more men to do the same as women in these areas? If we do we need to elevate that as the right and a very powerful masculine response just as it is a powerful feminine response.

We can only heal as a society when we reward consistently good adult and civil activities, and empower them. If we continue to let trauma of the past dictate are present to mute the future, we are damned to repeat it over and over.

My view is his intent is in the right place, and we are not talking about a partner that does the dishes once or twice and says look at me ... reward me.

This is a person that quit a job, took care of children and did the right and hard thing, and is dealing with interpersonal issues based upon patriarchal assumptions.
