Call Chivalry the litmus test for humanity. Personally, I always try to open a door for another regardless of sex or age, it is just how I am wired. And yes, it has caused arguments in relationships with women when I was dating ,and you know what. To quote Toni Braxton’s song in opposite form … She wasn’t woman enough for me :-)

Be human and the silver lining for women that desire this kind of activity, then at least you have a simple and easy to find litmus test for the kind of guy he is.

That being said while it pales in comparison to the shit storm that is what women have had to deal with …. sadly expect more pull back and given less experience, even more social awkardness in the long term. This kind of sucks but it is what it is (for now).
