Great Article and very astute. I detected this back in 2010-2012 and I figured the safest state to live in was Texas. It was due to it having it's own grid, and own ability to produce energy based products.

It is the only state in the US that is conducive to building a broad based and balanced economy, and as such will be a magnet for manufacturing and jobs. This will be critical has one needs to have wage growth and stability to live while the products keep going up.

I have seen this exact thing happen with making good. Companies decide there isn't a profit margin to make something, so they will just stop. Meanwhile, everyone will presume if there is any profit to be made, it will. Well guess what. It won't.
