“I got a fever of a hundred and three”

Is probably the most important line in it.

Medically at 103 degrees is the start of what is considered dangerous and can be considered life threatening.

So the symbolism that goes along with that is the man is 100% compromised.

So certainly there is a massive amount of issues with consent and if we apply the 2020 filters on 1970’s music it will come across as an epic fail.

What we can appreciate now is how we have grown and now women are empowered to do what you are doing now …. saying “yuck” not for me, and that is ok.

The other aspect is as sexuality evolves more to what women desire and want this will truly be seen as childish and disturbing. The question is long term how do men get that same feverish pitch in the same way women want to be desired by men under that heat of passion ….

Now something interesting to observe ……

What is truly disgusting in the lyrics is the “are you old enough” comment.

Hot Blooded

Foreigner

Well, I’m hot blooded, check it and see
I got a fever of a hundred and three
Come on baby, do you do more than dance?
I’m hot blooded, I’m hot blooded

You don’t have to read my mind, to know what I have in mind
Honey you oughta know
Now you move so fine, let me lay it on the line
I wanna know what you’re doin’ after the show

Now it’s up to you, we can make a secret rendezvous
Just me and you, I’ll show you lovin’ like you never knew

That’s why, I’m hot blooded, check it and see
I feel a fever burning inside me
Come on baby, do you do more than dance?
I’m hot blooded, I’m hot blooded (I’m hot)

Now it’s up to you, can we make a secret rendezvous? oh
Before we do, you have to get away from you know who

Well, I’m hot blooded, check it and see
I got a fever of a hundred and three
Come on baby, do you do more than dance?
I’m hot blooded, I’m hot blooded

Hot blooded, I’m a little bit high
Hot blooded, you’re a little bit shy
Hot blooded, you’re making me sing
Hot blooded, for your sweet sweet thing
