I know personally I have been guilty of this 1000x over, and you are right it is a hard thing to work though and battle, because once ingrained it is hard to remove. Women also should *not* have to bear this burden.
What I did to work on this is think of how to be a better active listener. I used social media to get burned enough to try to be better.
Now the only problem is (personal) is trying to stay relevant in conversations and most importantly with my partner now who gets angry because I don’t say much (since she is usually spot on right). This epically sucks so into another battle I guess since we have had moments where not much is talked about and silence is queen/king.
