I learned about this process when I used social media to break down stoic walls. For me it was using facebook groups and politics which did help.
At some point the management of the filters and dealing with people's trauma and gaslighting became to much. It overwhelmed me, but then I realized that process was a good one.
It made me walk away. I then reconnected, and gave it another go, and viola ... repeat performance.
I learned about the trauma bonding did, I attacked my other demons and viola ... I decided to check out (therapists suggested) in Oct 2019.
Luckily work blew up hard and bad, and took 2 months of my life away. I then realized I started to heal and I attempted to connect with friends of the groups I connected. Some where good ... some not so much.
I met the precursors to what social media calls the Karens, the thing is they were very liberal and people I had immense trust. They ripped into me in a way that hurt.
So that share is to say ... when you gut says something isn't right a change is necessary.
I agree with you 110%. Take your raw energy, and redirect it in the way that suits you most.
For me now (where you are at on your road with Berlinable ... which I will definitely look out for) connecting with writers and people that "click" is key and critical.
so for that aspect ... thank you for your articles and time and there is no such thing as good bye either.
Just a new chapter in the book called our lives.
Be well!
