If the invasion was all about freeing women and children from religious and sexual abuse and persecution, then sure.

But it wasn't. It was about 5-6K killed on 9/11, which oddly we will clock in less then a week due to COVID. It was about oil and perceived terroristic threats from the 1990s and our implementation of a policy about it.

It was about American hubris and oil and "pride".

This year and next year will show folks what I stated from 2016 onwards. Don't vote for incumbents. Hate Cruz ... vote for someone else, but also understand Pelosi and Waters are identical in this mess.

I can attempt to appreciate the comparison, because the only reason the Taliban did not take over earlier with Trump because they saw and knew crazy. They were not going to do what they did on his watch. Biden on the other hand is soft and diplomatic. This is fine for some situations, but not this one.

Anyone that read history or learned anything about military campaigns knows the history of Afghanistan. The people are tough as nails and know how to fight hard and long and give it their all. It is the graveyard of superpowers, and to think we are immune as a country is naive.

Is it about feminism? No. But one could state, because we had to rely on independent contractors and had insufficient military for two decades, maybe the mantel of equality with the selective service should have been addressed.

You know the thing in America if a man does not sign up for he becomes a felon for life and can't vote all because he was born as male?

If you are a feminist and most the good feminists I know are consistent in their beliefs and actions. If you aren't, then you as a person should rejoice at the choice that has happened in Afghanistan as it is your preferred life style, since feminism core statement is about equality and this action is the opposite of it. Laughing at others loss and death lacks empathy and sympathy, but it is a freely chosen path.

For me I am sad at the loss of freedoms that are coming for those in those countries and the many lives lost on all sides.

Is it hypocrisy? It depends on the person you talk to, but at the end you merge the progressive left with feminism, which detracts from your core statement.

People are busy with COVID, which is closer to their 6' circle of life. What happens thousands of miles away .... not so much.
