It is cool to have the belief and why I responded to your article was because you suggested a change via the normal processes.
The core issue which would have me vote no is because the issue isn’t the people, but the government.
As you stated, we have a failed nation state situation going on so giving more power to the government is actually in my opinion the worst thing we can do.
If we desired change as you desire, I would suggest law changes around making people vote, because the issue we have is around people not being educated and because large tracts and areas being left behind.
People wonder how a cult of personality takes over and the hate you talk to springing free? Neglect which is a severe form of abuse and economic starvation based upon a government and society that abandoned areas of the country and people. People can talk to systemic racism which does exist, but guess what it is the government that did this not individuals.
So stripping people of their voices will lead to more death and hate, and actually one might say will lead to a divine fracture of the country.
When the number of apathetic outnumber the total voters it leads to a situation where 22% vote reacts with a 74% super majority. This means the 50%+1 vote view which people call as the majority gets out done by a minority and even more wicked things happen.
So removing 1A is like removing 2A, it is a sign of true fascism.
