Million miler plus (ass in seat miles on AA and UA and lifetime titanium at Marriott) person.

I have a nomadic spirit and I love to be a person to meet lots of people and then I loved those moments when I crashed in a city, took a sauna/whirlpool, sat at a bar and had a drink or three.

I had to sit down and ask why. For me I had real issues where safety was through movement, the rush of completion of doing a trip (the travel high), the ability to feel good based upon the status was given to me from the travel companies and the fact I had friends at airline clubs and hotels ….

If you desire companionship on the road, it isn’t an easy thing to find. You either need a home body who is independent and happy to be themselves away from you (i.e. your reverse doppelganger). Or you need to keep your eye out when you travel and be hyper focused on finding fellow travelers who meet your need and it may mean sacrificing other attributes.

I don’t know you, but I get you as from 1999–2016 it is what I did. I now am settled down and am working on my issues and things. At moments like now, I am glad I did because I don’t think I could have handled the stress of not traveling.

Be proud of your status and skills, and travel on. I can still pack my bag fast and live in a backpack and 22 inch bag.
