My caveat to that is this (esp. with FB), I implement a 30 day block and then will remove it. Doing so changes the algo and deprioritizes it while satisfying the need.

I follow a mute/unfollow/defriend/block (7/30)

then do so forever.

To be in that place means you have done something so horrible you don't deserve any connection.

It is a tool that has helped me out mentally, while maintaining some of the personal morals and beliefs I have over free speech.
