My view on the licensed companion aspect is it would be consent based. A person can opt-in if they desire it. This would allow the freedom of choice you are concerned with. My biggest concern is if we look around we can see parents are struggling to parent and resources are one such aspect. The reality is we need to provide help and funding, which means an accountability angle.

As for the licensed companions, I am not referring to anything in our current hellscape for sex workers. Of course the #1 thing would be to decriminalize the act since it is based on forcing a religious view on others. Do note, I am not against a person giving consent to not paying for sexual intimacy, however, the line is drawn at it being a choice.

Sex workers being locked in goes counter to the view as you have seen in action. I am talking about education, health services, certification, and what not. We can be real about the reality that quite a few issues between men and women are due to the dying thirst due to not having access to intimacy. Some folks don’t have the social skills to be able to succeed with intimacy and this might balance things out.

I would never agree to the dystopia view you have documented. It could be used to design laws to ensure that this doesn’t happen
