Over the arc of my recovery, I actually had a girl I was in love with (one of the few) and I got to catch up. We knew each other before the massive trauma of my life smacked me.

It actually made me as a guy remember the true power of love and feelings, and unlocked stuff that had been numbed.

So Fomo from the past (Don Henley Boys of Summer ) playing in the background, actually did help and of course it did hurt when it ended.

The song and reality really does make good sense, since we really truly look at the past with rose colored glasses.
