Pretty simple from my view point, say nothing, and this is about me not feeling safe in the country I am at, and if you say something without saying why.

It is all about what you said, or failed to take account of (i.e. it IS about you and not me).

It is my opinion no one should ever stay stuck in a place or space or time where they don't feel safe and feel their life and liberty is impacted to the point that they can't have any pursuit of happiness.

At that point, it becomes about the purest pursuit of happiness is to run far and fast.

If a person is decent, does no harm and is still angry, part of them may feel angry for the loss of the person and fighter that says fuck it all.

They feel bad becuase there is more of a battle, but that is on them to process the loss and pain, and the only thing they can do is wish the person well.

There is a psychology (probably ask someone certified :) ) surrounding loss of fight and privilage, but I am not educated enough to speak to those words and what not. In fact I could even be 100% wrong,

All I know ... is I wish you free life and libery and happiness in your travels.

Trust me, there are days in my life even with my priviliege I wanted to say Fuck It All, but my reasons are for different ones then yours.

But as you succiently said it ... what is the core thing the other person on the side of the conversation desires for you?

As for me personally? I want you and any other woman or man pondering this to feel safe and if it means running like hell to the door ... do so.

Remember it is important if you are doing this for like to make sure you rescind your citizenship, or else the IRS will continue to tax (fuck) you once you leave on all income you earn in another country.

I kid you not, they will do so claiming you are still a citizen and are required to pay self-employment taxes and pay the country for the right of being born here. There was a paper (WSJ actually I think) that stated you needed to make sure to document post 5 years of leaving everything to ensure you show that not only you are not a citizen but you are not coming back.

Do make note, if you do this and you come back to visit they can detain you with the Patriot Act rules ...
