Same thing happened to me and I am a guy. This past fall I ended up blowing up at my parents and sister about this after 25 plus (maybe more I lost count).

So this assumption, goes across gender bounds 100%.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my parents and they love me very much, but this happened to me in a big way.
