That is the beauty of this country, don't like an area you can move as you see fit.
Do know I have spent considerable time in California, Washington, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Georgia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Texas
Each has its fantastic pluses, but each also has a lot of big negatives.
The view is about sustainability, California e.g. hasn't even gotten close to its inflation spike. The rules for ethical agriculture go into effect this year. What that means is every basic food staple will go through the roof. A lot of the shortages, as analyzed by Purdue's Ag school was due to 60% of the supply being shutdown to the rules.
As a point example, California consumes I believe 16% of the pork products in the US, but only produces 4%, so one can see what will happen to the prices.
I did the research as I documented, and sadly most of my predictions have come true. I had numerous "discussions" about what was coming in 2017 and 2018 e.g. but everyone told me nah that would never happen, and viola ... it did. Where I was wrong was I expected it in the tail end of the 2020s not the front-end.
Good luck and safe travels!
