The phrase should have been described as toxic culture of masculinity. Words and phrases are freely to be used; however, one can’t complain that phrases and terms being used are causing a negative response.
Take bitch as you call out. It is purposely used as an attack against an individual, while toxic is being used as a term across a whole class of individuals.
If we want to discuss individual negative labels, we can talk to the toxic femininity actions of biological human females (presuming a CIS/binary world) that push these actions to the forefront.
What sucks is here we are entering into the third decade of the 21st century, but yet we are still grasping harshly in the fierce darkness using gross labels.
People should learn to treat each other better and not use heavy bias to “fuck” another over because of the trauma of another.
It is sad, but I BTW knew of the term way before it got mainstream. I learned it while under therapy learning how to trust men and women again after being hurt and bottling it up with booze to contain the damage for decades.
Society and some feminists believe men in general are able to consume the details of this, and I am telling you (also as a feminist BTW) they aren’t.
Thanks for taking the time to respond and be well.
