There is so much more to be done and I agree with you, the state isn't perfect (far from it), but let me tell you there are worse places to live.
No one believed (including the weather predictions) that it would go that low and stay under 32 for that long, but who ever looks forward right?
I could go on a rant about my local county judge that other judges are refusing to remove after his 2nd DUI and having his 365 day sentence commuted. I am literally in a place where the only way I can vote to oust him is to vote in the GOP primary, which I don't want to do because I don't want to register as GOP.
None of the pipes or houses are built for that kind of 50-60 degree drop like they are in the Midwest and North, and the fact that they spent more time worrying about fucking SB8 and guns instead of doing the simple thing like the grid?
Yeah, but I try to stay positive because this area when the inflation kicks up higher across the country will be able to hold up better. I have heard from family in the Midwest already goods are not being stocked in somethings, so the supply chain mess will get worse.
Why will Texas be spared? Because of the red rural view of making sure the basics are there. It is my opinion fwiw.
