This is totally acceptable, however, society and women may have to wait a few generations as men figure this out.
I think this is what a lot of people groan about or don't understand at all. Feminism has been worked on since the late 19th century, and the interesting thing is it may actually have all be started by a priest. There are some decent starter groups (e.g. the Good Men Project here); however, it is very very basic, but society may have to wait. The big question is how will it fare with a gender war going on?
As for me, it took several years of therapy to get to the point I was able to understand how beneficial it was to be a feminist. Then it took time to educate myself, and I was interested in doing this. The path took five years, imagine how the average / common guy who doesn't understand the gender dynamics will take.
As a point of reference, I have queued up "I hate men" on my kindle which I will probably take a stab at. The thing is I have built the tools and methods to handle the dynamic, and I can tell you it wasn't easy.
