Aggravated perjury is a third-degree felony, which is punishable by 2 to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
According to Texas Penal Code 37.03, aggravated perjury occurs if a person commits perjury as defined in 37.02 and the false statement:
is made during or in connection with an official proceeding; and is material.
Guess what the Mr. Tin Foil Hat man gets ....
If this is not a text book slam the door case, I don't know what is.
Oh, with the look on the judges face ... and Texas's preverse weirdness in laws. Lying like this and getting caught redhanded will not end well for him.
