While people should not live their lives through personality tests and other social methods today, they can provide a view in one’s personality and communication methods, styles, and needs.
Take me in my life example, I am an ENFP-T and have strong need for touch and communication and acts of service (5 love languages). Sending out my feelings of happiness and joy are expounded in the phrase “I love you” like sonar on a bat. The hope is it initiates touch and communication and love and joy.
If one is an introvert who shows their love and concern in different ways, this can be a turn off since the energy and methods to start this is foreign to them. Does that mean there is something wrong with them? Generally no, as long as they attempt to negotiate an action in return.
Sensing this “feeling” is the realization you know a person who has the “missing puzzle pieces” to one’s soul.
For some to protect their sense of self (no issues either with this) lack the observation two-way communication to facilitate it because the soul being housed behind the walls is one blow up from being shattered.
In todays world (presume cis-het), women have every understandable reason to do this. What isn’t talked about though is as equality happens and the walls come down for women, they will realize that men’s walls are actually higher and deeper and that realization will give a woman or an introvert person a taste of of the opposite world … It is harsh but it is life.
Great article of course and thanks for the reply back.
